    This perennial weed is native to Europe and Asia and became naturalized in North America in open fields and pastures. Plants have alternate, conspicuously lobed leaves and grow to 2 feet tall.  White daisylike flowers appear during June and July that are up to 2 inches across.  Flowers are insect-pollinated and have minor allergenic importance in terms of pollen.

    Considered to have minor allergenicity.  Disturbed (mechanical agitation) has been reported to cause allergic symptoms. Skin contact with leaves and flowers has caused allergic rashes in some patients. The scent of leaves and flowers has also caused allergic reactions in some individuals.
